The ABC Goldsmiths also produces ,without interposition of any welding, multicolor blocks of non-ferrous metal sheets, available alsowith shallow effect manifacturing (known also as MOKUME GANE). If you wish to have sheet blocks in copper or brass, (or in copper and silver, or in gold with required fineness, with different colourings), assembled and manifactured as described above, do not hesitate to contact ABC Goldsmiths.
The mentioned material is suitable for most of the artisanal workings, from fine jewellery up to sophisticated handles for knives, ancient rifles or guns,and so on.

"Mokume gane" Sterling Silver/Copper 26 layers.

The Mokume layers (sheet), composed of silver 925 and copper, (13 sterling silver- 13 copper) are furnished after a pickling treatment in order to clean them from dirty and oxides and get with Patina to enrich the color contrast. The layers are now ready to the subsequent mechanical processing.
The layers fit theirself to many uses such as laminating, soldering(welding) and many other applications, but considering of course the same cautions as similar metal alloys.
The "Mokume" technique, with his unique patterns and textures improves creativeness and increases the value of your items.

The pictures below show different kinds of Pattern each of them totally hand-made and unique. The latest silver layer on the back has a larger tickness than the others of the same billet.

Different surface treatments make gradations, shades, visual and tactile sensations change as well as their "warmth". Surface treatments could be: polishing, glazing, brushing, obviously everyone can try out the technique to bring out the patterns, the grains and the textures of metal that meet better his own requirements, just by varying the metod of manipulation.

I can suggest you the solution for the "Patina" I have been testing for many years, to enhance the look of the copper and obtain a range of colour from pale to deep brown.
Immerse the piece into the solution, checking periodically until it reaches the desired colour.Then, after the solution bath, brush with soap, rinse in clean running water, pat with a clean cloth and protect the surface with a thin coating of wax.
